Ep 10 - The Weight Loss/Happiness Correlation

Who would have guessed Pete and Gretchen would make it to 10 episodes?
After Pete tortures Gretchen with some hard to pronounce wine grapes, they dive right into the FMC Rewind. Gretchen claims she is getting more exercise since Pete took over her couch, then she moves on to more serious business – reality TV.
Then the couple goes into planning for Thanksgiving and trying out some NSNG/Banting recipes. Not everything works out, but they did find some gems. Planning is a key to long-term weight loss success and they really wanted to share how they are going about it!
Pete talks about how his attitude sucks. Surprising? Nah. He needs to be cleared to run soon!
More importantly, he talks about strategies to get over these roadblocks, including finding inspiration in other areas. This leads to talking about the NYC Marathon and all the awesomeness that took place.
Finally, they tackle the topic of the weight loss, happiness correlation. Does losing weight making you intrinsically happier? They agree overall on the answer. Do you?

We love it when people agree with us. Really the only reason to do the show 😂. Seriously, thanks for the feedback. The results of the loss may help bring changes which lead to happiness. I think our point, which we didn't convey, is to expect more happiness from weight loss could be dangerous.

Happiness can't come from weight loss. I was more unhappy once I lost the weight because I thought losing weight would make me happy. It's so much more than that! I agree with confidence, and maybe the things you can do now bring happiness, but not the actual loss!
